Be sure to use Slack securely
If you’re subject to the EU GDPR, you’ll need to evaluate the compliance of Slack separately from your Data Processing Agreement with us. Slack is not an authorized GDPR subprocessor under our agreement with you.
Modern digital organizers and advocates depend on a whole ecosystem of tools to create change in the world. All of our customers use ControlShift alongside some number of other platforms. For many of the teams that we work with, Slack is where all of those pieces come together so that work can get done.
ControlShift's Slack integration makes it easier for teams to keep track of the content that's created on their platform and ensure that new petitions, events, and blast emails don't get missed.
To start sending notifications to Slack, go to your ControlShift admin homepage Settings > Integrations > Slack and click Add. From there, you'll be asked to grant the ControlShift app access to your Slack workspace. Once you've granted access, you'll be returned to the ControlShift Integrations page.
Once the integration is initiated, you can choose the channels that ControlShift data should be sent to. To add a new channel, click the Add button. The workspace's existing channels will appear in the dropdown. After selecting a channel, choose which notifications (petitions, events, and/or blast emails) should be sent to that channel and then click to Save. If needed, you can send ControlShift data to multiple channels by adding them individually.
If needed, you can add/remove channels, or fully remove the Slack integration, at any time by returning to the Slack integration page in your ControlShift Settings.
