Petition creators can choose to hide and/or end their campaigns via the Settings page in the petition creator tools. While petition creators can hide their campaigns at any time without seeking administrative approval, admins must approve the ending of campaigns.
If a petition is reactivated after the ending of the campaign has been approved - or after the petition has been moderated while also being marked as hidden – it will be returned to the moderation queue. These petitions will have the status Reactivated.
To moderate a reactivated petition, click the Moderate link, which will open the moderation modal. This modal will include all of the information we have about this petition, including the text fields, creator information and the reason for ending the campaign.
From this modal, you can edit the petition's text or click to lock the field, which will prevent the petition creator from making future edits to the field.
Once you've reviewed the content, you can choose to Approve the reactivation of the petition or reject the activation and Keep Ended. If you choose to approve the reactivation, you'll also be asked to confirm the moderation status for the petition.
