When a user creates an event — whether an event included in a calendar, a petition event, or a group-sponsored event — they will receive the Create Event Thank You Email. Likewise, when a site visitor RSVPs 'Yes' to an event, they will receive the Thank Attendee RSVP Email.
If the event is cancelled by the host or by org admins, all attendees will receive an email informing them of the cancellation. This email can be edited by updating the Event Cancel Template.
The Event Share Email Template is displayed when a visitor to the event page clicks the email share button.

If one of the yes attendees decides to update their RSVP to no, or if the attendee limit is raised, users on the waiting list will be notified that they can attend the event, starting with the first person to join the waiting list. When this happens, the user will receive the Promoted from Waitlist to Attending Email.
As an admin, you can configure after-action popups (daisy chains) for event attendees. When these rules are configured to show the attendee a welcome message, the text of that modal will be set from Title and Text for welcome modal.
