Updating Social Share Defaults

Organization admins can change the default social media share messages by going to Settings > Content > Social. The toolset automatically appends petitions' links, so the only text that you should enter here is the message that precedes the petition URL.

While this text can be overridden at the petition and event level (details below), the text entered in Settings > Content is the default text that's on the platform. Changing this text will affect the text that prefills when a petition or event is shared on social media via the built-in share buttons.

The content on this page updates the share text for: Bluesky, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), and Web Share API.

If you want to change the share language for a single petition (or event), navigate to the petition (or event) and click Admin > Settings >  Social Media. From there, you can enter a petition-specific (or event-specific) share message into the appropriate box(es).
