Promoted Partner Petitions

Organizations working with partners can choose whether or not to allow those partner organizations to export supporter data from ControlShift. Organization who are allowing partners to export data, but who want to limit how many of their existing list they share with the partner can use the promoted petitions URL.

With promoted petitions, there are two URLs for the same petition or event – one that includes the checkbox to join the partner's mailing list and one that does not.

You can see this in action with the following two links. The first link: https://demo.controlshiftlabs.com/petitions/save-the-moon is the default URL for the petition and includes the checkbox to join our test partner's mailing list.

The second link https://demo.controlshiftlabs.com/petitions/promoted/save-the-moon, which could be used in a blast email or a Bluesky message, etc., removes the opt-in box – keeping your list in your hands. To direct signers to a page without an opt-in box, just add promoted/ to the petition or event's URL between petitions/ (or events/ ) and the petition or event slug (in this case, "save-the-moon").
