We're posting this release note midweek to include a notice about a security incident that Zendesk (the tool that powers this help center and our support ticket system) has reported to us. We've proactively emailed organizations operating in the EU, and more information about the incident is available: https://mailchi.mp/2ebbda207454/zendesk-support-security-issue.
Platform
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Infrastructure updates.
Petitions
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We fixed an issue that was causing PDF generation to fail for petitions larger than 50,000 signatures.
- We've updated our Segment integration so that a signer's member ID is used as Segment's user ID when a petition is signed.
Events
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We've updated the forum notification email that's sent to subscribed event attendees when new comments are posted in the event's forum. Previously, the link to the forum included a member token and the user would be automatically asked to sign in after clicking the link. Now we're using an attendee token, so the user will be brought to the event page automatically without being asked to sign in. The event's forum won't be immediately visible, but the user will have the option of requesting a magic link to confirm their identity or logging in to the site to see the forum.
Nothing new in groups or VisitThem.
