Platform
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Infrastructure updates, including database and hardware upgrades.
- We've made a host of updates to improve the platform's accessibility, especially for users relying on screen readers or keyboard-only navigation.
- In the unified moderation queue, we've made it more obvious when a task is claimed by another admin.
- We've completely rewritten our Engaging Networks sync to use the new Engaging Networks API. If your organization is using Engaging Networks for your CRM, and you'd like to start syncing ControlShift data to EN, please send us a support email.
Petitions
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We've updated some final less-used petition pages, like the signatures uploads page, to our new layout. Those pages are now mobile-friendly.
- We've updated the blast email moderation workflow following reports that the queue's automatic advancement feature was causing admins to accidentally moderate emails that they didn't mean to. With the new design, the auto-advancement has been slowed down and we're using a dropdown of moderation statuses to prevent accidental moderation.
We've also changed the timing of the notification email sent to email creators when their email is approved. If the email is scheduled for later, we won't send the approval notification until the email is scheduled to be sent out. - We've fixed a bug that appeared when an email tied to a leaderless petition was moderated.
- We now support dropdown custom fields on the petition signature form. This field, like other custom fields, can be configured by going to the petition > Admin > Settings > Attendee Form. †
- The share via WhatsApp button was not working for all users. This has now been fixed.
Events
Updates / Bug Fixes

We've also changed the timing of the notification email sent to email creators when their email is approved. If the email is scheduled for later, we won't send the approval notification until the email is scheduled to be sent out. - We've fixed an issue that was preventing an attendee's status from being updated to Attended when the event was full.
- We've expanded the 'hidden address' feature to be available for all events, not just events in a calendar. This setting can be toggled from Settings > Options > Events. †
- We've fixed a bug that was preventing admins from deleting events.
- The ability to override attendee emails on a per-calendar basis went missing during one of our layout updates. Those options are back now.
- We now support dropdown custom fields on the event RSVP form. This field, like other custom fields, can be configured by going to the event > Admin > Settings > Attendee Form. †
- The share via WhatsApp button was not working for all users. This has now been fixed.
- We've changed the display of 'hidden address' events to only show the city, state, and post code. Previously we also included the street name, but we've removed that information. Once a user RSVPs, they'll see the full address as normal.
Groups
Updates / Bug Fixes
- The local groups export has been moved to the local group collection's admin page > Local Groups > Export.
- We've fixed a display issue that was causing the pending group organizer requests page (the one that's visible to existing local group organizers) to be a bit broken.
- The display of the pre-moderation message shown to group members (whose messages must first be approved by admins) was not sized correctly on mobile.
VisitThem
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We've updated VisitThem's list of representatives to the 116th Congress.
