Platform
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Infrastructure updates.
- We've updated our translations files to remove duplicate and unused translation keys.
- We've added a Google Tag Manager integration. This integration allows organizations to connect to Google Tag Manager without using Segment. As always, organizations (including organizations subject to the GDPR) should carefully consider the privacy implications of connecting to a third-party integration service. †
- Notifications can now be configured from an admin's My Account page. The My Account page has also been updated to be mobile responsive. Notifications to listservs or distribution lists can still be configured from the organization's Settings page > Contact. †
- Members of region-restricted teams will now only receive notifications about assets being created/updated in their region.
- The events, groups, and blast emails moderation queue can now be filtered by region. For admins who are members of a region-restricted team, the moderation queue will automatically be filtered by their team's region.
- In the All Emails list, admins who are members of a region-restricted team will only see emails that were sent in connection with petitions and/or events in their region.
- In filterable lists, the back button wouldn't work – it would just reload the list page. This is now fixed.
- In the List Petitions in an Effort JSON API, we now include the petitions ended or open status in the JSON response.
Petitions
New
- We've added support for pre-defined custom signature fields. Pre-defined custom signature fields allow an organization to define text fields or checkboxes that are often added to the signature form. Once these pre-defined custom fields have been created, petition creators can add these fields to their petition's signature form from the petition's settings page (in the campaign creator tools). For example, if your organization often directs campaigns at corporations, you could add a pre-defined custom field that asks "Are you an employee of this company?". Campaign creators could then choose to add this field if it applies to their campaign.
To get started, go to the org admin homepage > Settings > Custom Fields to define the fields. †
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Admins can now add a Region filter to the list of all petitions. Admins who are members of a region-restricted team will see an automatically filtered petition list.
- Each petitions' Blast Emails tab (in the petition's admin view) is now sorted by the emails' creation dates.
- When setting up a global or petition-specific post-signing redirect, admins can use a new variable to include the user's locale in the redirect URL.
Events
New
- We've added support for pre-defined custom RSVP fields. Pre-defined custom RSVP fields allow an organization to define text fields or checkboxes that are often added to the RSVP form. Once these pre-defined custom fields have been created, event hosts can add these fields to the event RSVP form from the event's settings page (in the event host tools). For example, you may want to include a "Dietary Restrictions" text field that can be added to an RSVP form.
To get started, go to the org admin homepage > Settings > Custom Fields to define the fields. †
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We've fixed a bug that occurred when a user who had not RSVPed to an event was added as a cohost of the event. When this happened, the user was unable to view the event page because of a forum permission error. This is now fixed.
- The calendar location JSON API endpoint would crash if there was a country-less event. This is now fixed.
- The all events list can now be filtered by Region. Admins who are members of a region-restricted team will see an automatically filtered event list.
- When setting up a global or event-specific post-RSVP redirect, admins can use a new variable to include the user's locale in the redirect URL.
Groups
Updates / Bug Fixes
- We fixed an odd issue where the Local Group:Everything permission didn't include all of the permissions included in Local Group:Organise.
- The list of local groups in a local group collection can now be filtered by region. This page has also been updated to be mobile-responsive. Admins who are members of a region-restricted team will automatically see a filtered list of local groups.
Nothing new in VisitThem.
