Platform
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Ongoing infrastructure work. We know we keep saying this, but it'll be exciting when it's done!
- When exporting large CSVs from the /org/exports page, sometimes the page timed out without telling you that the CSV was on its way to your email. Now, if the file is too big for immediate export, you'll see a message telling you to check your email instead.
Good news: you know what's happening. Bad news: no more surprise emails containing the information you thought you couldn't get. - We've added a JSONP endpoint that includes information about the current user. This will allow technically-inclined organizations to build a single sign on experience. Petitions
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Errors when creating an effort will now be displayed at the top of the form, so that you'll know why it's not working.
- In efforts we allowed you to add multiple geographic target collections (sort of), but there would be a lot of errors as you tried to do anything in the effort. Because we want you to be happy, we now allow you to actually add multiple geographic collections, and you can even create petitions! and search for the targets!
- For efforts that use a pre-set geographic collection of targets (like US states or parliamentary constituencies), we now helpfully show the area covered by each target/petition when someone searches for a location.
- In efforts, if you didn't enter default petition content into some sections, you'd get an error message. You will still get that error message, but we've added a space between the field name and the error, which makes it more aesthetically pleasing – while still telling you that you did something wrong.
- In a landing page's settings page there was an option to "remove 'create your own' link back to the landing page." Even we didn't know what that meant, so we've renamed it "don't show landing page link on petition signature pages."
Events
Updates / Bug Fixes
- The title for events is now displayed in your organization's $title-font-family, instead of our default font. Continuity!
- Events' countries are now included in event and attendee exports at the calendar and organization levels. Also, the file name for a single event's attendees export will now include the event's slug.
Groups
Updates / Bug Fixes
- Setting a search radius for a group collection used to cause an error when someone searched for a location because instead of multiplying the value by 1000 to convert from km to m, we repeated the value 1000 times. When [20] km becomes [20202020202020.....] the platform gets confused. This is now fixed.
Nothing new in TakeCharge.
Best commit title this week? "remove pended effort-search scenarios that have been pended since 2013. we apparently don't need them."
