Each time a signature is recorded, we create a new Supporter record in Salsa, or find the appropriate supporter for that email address.
The supporter record is then tagged depending on the specifics of the petition they signed or created and whether the supporter record was created by ControlShift or already existed in the Salsa CRM.
The Salsa fields that are updated on the Supporter record from each signature are:
first_name, last_name, email, phone, country, zip
In addition, the following tracking code fields are applied, only if a tracking code does not already exist for that member:
source: ControlShift
source_tracking_code: petition slug
tracking_code: signature source code
language_code: language code
Potential supporter tags that are also applied:
created_by_controlshift
controlshift_petition_{{{petition slug}}}
controlshift_signer
controlshift_creator
controlshift_category_{{{category slug}}}
controlshift_partner_{{{partner slug}}}
controlshift_effort_{{{effort slug}}}
Custom fields are not currently persisted into Salsa by default.
